How did I take that picture?
1. In the camera, multiple exposure mode was selected and number of exposures in a frame was set at 2. 2. Spot metering feature of the camera was selected. 3. In the evening, just after the twilight, the moon was photographed and it would have looked like as shown above alone. Telephoto lens 75-300mm was used to obtain the maximum possible size of the moon. 4. The camera was left undisturbed overnight. 5. The next evening, as the sun was setting, the second exposure was taken against a clear sky. This time a 35-80mm lens was used which gave better flexibility for composing the picture. 6. While exposing the film the second time, exposure was reduced by two stops. You should find out the correct amount of exposure to be reduced for this type of pictures by trial and error and also from your camera manual. This exposure requirement might be different for different cameras.
