The following items will be required to build a simple PC:
1.Mother board.
2.Microprocessor(Central Processing Unit (CPU)).
3.CPU cooling fan.
4.Random Access Memory (RAM (main memory)), 32Meg or more.
5.Sound card.
6.Internal Modem card.
7.Video card.
8.Hard drive.
9.Floppy disk drive.
10.CDROM Drive.
11.PC case with power supply.
12.Monitor.
13.DOS operating system.
14.Windows operating system.
15.A digital voltmeter.
16.A tool set to work with computer hardware.

Procedure:
1. First check the case and the powersupply output voltage with the
voltmeter. Sometimes, behind the case, there is a switch to select
input voltage setting. You need to select the correct voltage setting
for your country.
2. Place the CPU in the mother board. Be careful to match the pin mark
on the CPU with that on the mounting socket on the mother board.
3. Mount the cooling fan on the CPU.
4. Set the switches on the mother board to the required settings.
5. Place the RAM in its slots.
6. Place the sound card in its slot.
7. Place the modem card in its slot.
8. Place the video card in its slot.
9. Mount the floppy drive in the case and connect it to the mother board.
10.Mount the Hard drive in the case and connect it to the mother board.
Check the jumper settings at the back the hard drive.
11.Mount the CDROM drive and connect it to the mother board.
12.Connect the monitor power supply and to the PC.
13.Insert DOS diskette number one in the floppy drive.
14.Switch on the power supply.
15.Follow the instructions in the monitor.
